Fleet Feet Training Programs

We offer training programs for everyone, from the beginner to the endurance athlete!  Fleet Feet Madison & Sun Prairie is committed to enhancing and growing our local running and walking communities, and offering educational resources and training opportunities to assist participants in achieving their fitness goals. We strive to give every training participant a positive experience and to help them finish happy, healthy, educated, and uninjured.

You can choose to join us for one of our free group social fun runs, or try one of our professionally coached training programs with a guest pass.

**Please note, due to liability and safety concerns, we can not allow dogs or strollers at Fleet Feet Training workouts. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

Program Schedule: Sunday Mornings
Program Fee: Program Cost: Early Bird $65 (until Dec. 16, 2018), Regular Rate $75 (Dec. 17, 2018 – Jan 2, 2019), Late Registration $85 (Jan 3, 2019 and after)
Description: This winter Fleet Feet will build you into a WARRIOR! The purpose of this program is to help you stay accountable over the winter months and to help kick off the new year on the right foot! This is a program for everyone – all walkers and runners are welcome!

Program Schedule: Wed Evening & Saturday Morning
Goal Race: Twilight 5K
Program Fee: Early Bird Registration: $89 (until Feb. 25) Regular Registration: $99 (Feb. 26 – Mar. 11) Late Registration: $109 (Mar. 12 and after)
Description: A complete 10-week training program for walkers, run/walkers, and runners. Options based on goals and experience. No matter your pace, there is a place for you!

Description: For those who have successfully completed a 5K and are ready to continue building their endurance. All levels of runners and run/walkers are welcome!

Goal Race: Madtown Half & Cellcom Green Bay Marathon
Program Fee: Early Bird: $135 (Nov 26 – Jan 6) | Regular Rate: $145 (Jan 7 – Feb 25) | Late Registration: $155 (Feb 26 and after)
Description: Half Marathon and Full Marathon Training Programs: Fleet Feet and Orange Shoe Personal Fitness are teaming up once again for our annual Force of Orange training program. Madison’s premier group running program! All levels of running experience are welcome! This program is tailored to helping participants train for the Run Madtown Half, Conquer the Capital 19.3 Challenge, and Green Bay Full Marathon. However, you are welcome to join us if you are preparing for another spring running event!

Description: Don't let the name scare you, SpeedPLAY is not just for “fast” runners, it is open to anyone who wants to work on becoming more efficient while challenging their current running pace. Speed work is an important part of any training routine. Speed work doesn’t just make you run faster. It makes you fitter, increases the range of movement in your joints, makes you more comfortable at all speeds, and it will ultimately help you to run harder for longer. These sessions have been carefully designed to be beneficial to those who specialize in any distance and can be utilized by many levels of runners. In addition, interval type training is one of the most efficient ways to burn calories!

Program Schedule: Sunday Mornings
Goal Race: Lapham Peak Trail Half Marathon
Program Fee: Early Bird: $159 (until June 3, 2019) Regular Rate: $169 (June 4 – July 8, 2019) Late Registration: $179 (July 9, 2019 and after)
Description: Join Fleet Feet & Nathan Sports over the course of 10 weeks to train for the Lapham Peak Trail Half Marathon. Receive instruction, guidance, support, and camaraderie throughout your training!

Group Runs Free More Info »

Program Start: Weekly
Program Schedule: Wednesday Evening Group Runs,Thursday Evening Pub Runs & Weekend Trail Runs
Program Fee: Free
Description: Free Wednesday Run or Walk- Every week meet at either Fleet Feet Sports Madison or Sun Prairie @6:00pm for a 3 to 5 mile group run/walk--Excellent for beginner runners. All paces welcome. Free Thursday Night Pub Run - Most weeks we start at or near a local Pub for up to 5 miles followed by food, drink and socializing. The runs will start at 6:00pm and are listed approximately one month in advance on our website and published on our social media pages. All paces are welcome. Free Weekend Trail Run - Scheduled during the year while the trails are open. Locations will be posted here and as a Facebook Event.
