We offer training programs for everyone, from the beginner to the endurance athlete! Fleet Feet Sports Madison is committed to enhancing and growing our local running and walking communities, and offering educational resources and training opportunities to assist participants in achieving their fitness goals. We strive to give every training participant a positive experience and to help them finish happy, healthy, educated, and uninjured.
You can choose to join us for one of our free group social fun runs, or try one of our professionally coached training programs with a guest pass.
**Please note, due to liability and safety concerns, we can not allow dogs or strollers at Fleet Feet Training workouts. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.

The training program from Fleet Feet Sports Madison & Sun Prairie only requires you to run or walk 3x/week – 2x with us! You can commit to this training plan even with a busy schedule!

Zoo Run Run 5K & 10K
Early Bird Registration: $69 (until June 1) Regular Registration: $79 (June 2 – July 10) Late Registration: $89 (July 11 and after)
Join Fleet Feet Sports to train for the Zoo Run in support of the Henry Vilas Zoo! Whether you want to train for your first 5K/10K or you are trying to improve your time, this is the program for you. All programs will provide challenging workouts whether you choose completion or performance. We recommend you be able to run/walk for 20 minutes prior to the start of training. The Completion plan will consist of 7-18 miles per week and the Performance plan will consist of 10-25 miles per week. Both plans will have hill and interval workouts throughout the training. Wednesday and Thursday fun runs at Fleet Feet Sports Madison & Sun Prairie are encouraged, but optional.

Saturday, October 28 – Saturday, January 13 (12 weeks)
Coached and supported group runs will take place on SATURDAY mornings at 8AM at varied locations around the Madison area. We encourage all participants to also take part in weekly fun runs for mid-week mileage.
Charleston Marathon & Half Marathon
Early Bird Discount: $89 (until October 10, 2017) Regular: $99 (October 11, 2017 – October 21, 2017) Late Registration: $109 (October 22, 2017 and after)

Description: Don't let the name scare you, SpeedPLAY is not just for “fast” runners, it is open to anyone who wants to work on becoming more efficient while challenging their current running pace. Speed work is an important part of any training routine. Speed work doesn’t just make you run faster. It makes you fitter, increases the range of movement in your joints, makes you more comfortable at all speeds, and it will ultimately help you to run harder for longer. These sessions have been carefully designed to be beneficial to those who specialize in any distance and can be utilized by many levels of runners. In addition, interval type training is one of the most efficient ways to burn calories!

Description: Free Wednesday Run or Walk- Every week meet at either Fleet Feet Sports Madison or Sun Prairie @6:00pm for a 3 to 5 mile group run/walk--Excellent for beginner runners. All paces welcome.
Free Thursday Night Pub Run - Most weeks we start at or near a local Pub for up to 5 miles followed by food, drink and socializing. The runs will start at 6:00pm and are listed approximately one month in advance on our website and published on our social media pages. All paces are welcome.

Description: Good Form Running (GFR I) is a simple process of training that has the ultimate goal of running faster, more efficiently, and injury free. With a focus on proper mechanics, GOOD FORM RUNNING aims to help runners of all ages and abilities achieve these goals. Good Form Running is free and is beneficial to beginner runners up to endurance runners.
